The Wave Waterpark is a small waterpark that is loved by families; guests can enjoy water slides, a lazy river, and a Flow Rider. 

The Wave Waterpark is a seasonal operation and is seeking temporary workers for the summer season. Training begins in the Spring with opportunity for hours before summer. During the operating season you can expect to workdays, nights, weekends, or holidays. This position is assigned supervisory responsibility over concessions staff and the overall operations of meal preparation at The Wave Waterpark.

Works hands on with front line staff to ensure all guest are feed in a timely manner; coordinates breaks and lunches for concessions staff; maintains records of food and supply inventories; receives, unpacks, inspects, and stores food and supply orders; evaluates the flow of food throughout the day and advises staff on quantities of food that should be prepared; ensures the concessions shop and equipment are clean and sanitary, and meets all San Diego County health department guidelines; instructs concessions staff in health, sanitation, and safety requirements; maintains records including food temperatures; prepares reports; keeps the manager on duty informed on the day-to-day operation, product information and staff problems; addresses any guest concerns that may arise; uses a computer to perform administrative duties; solve problems; supervises, trains, evaluates, and disciplines staff effectively. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Any combination of training, experience and education which would provide the knowledge necessary to perform the duties of the position. A typical qualifying entrance background would include course work in food service management, supervisory or management training, including supervisory duties. Must also obtain a County of San Diego Food Handlers License and be able to pass drug screening and background check.

While performing the duties of this class, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively, verbally and in a written manner. The employee must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments. The employee works in a kitchen environment and is occasionally subjected to constant noise, and is exposed to grease and oils, solvents and other chemicals, and electrical energy. The employee frequently works around stationery equipment or machinery with moving parts and on slippery or uneven surfaces. The employee may be subject to increased kitchen temperatures during the summer months. The employee must be able to sit, bend, kneel, push, and lift (up to 50 lbs.), walk for extended periods of time, and can stand for up to 3 ½ hours at a given location. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
